SEJ Services is seeking an Operations Assistant to join the team in Lowcountry, SC area. The successful candidate will oversee all branch operations. The ideal candidate will have service industry management experience, strong attention to detail, and superior managerial skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, proactive communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
This position is required to maintain the scope of work as contracted by the customer. As such, this position may need to perform physical tasks or fill-in for all laborers who call out of work. This may include bending, lifting, walking, stocking supplies and performing various facilities maintenance tasks depending on the contracted scope of work at your assigned site(s).
The position reports to the Operations Manager and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Position Details:
- Position Title – Operations Assistant
- Hours – 40 hours per week depending on assignment
- General Location – Daniel Island/Mount Pleasant/North Charleston
- Compensation – $20.00 per hour
- Facility type: Various Buildings
- Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *some weekends necessary
General Duties:
- Conducts facility walkthroughs to inspect the quality of work and safety compliance. All issues will be discussed with the janitorial crew and managed through the online work order system.
- Responds to ALL calls for assigned accounts at all times (this includes nights and weekends if necessary).
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; being proactive in identifying and preventing potential problems; recommending operational improvements.
- Fill in when employees cannot make it to work by performing duties such as
- Vacuuming, restroom cleaning, window cleaning, dusting, trash disposal, emergency requests, and many other miscellaneous cleaning duties.
- Standing, Walking, and Bending will be required for all job duties for the entire shift.
- Must be hardworking, reliable, customer service-oriented, friendly, professional, and a team player.
- Floor care and pressure washing experience are preferred.

- Reliable transportation and clean Motor Vehicle Report
- Pass a criminal background check. We background check ALL potential employees.
- Must clear a FEDERAL background check
- Lift 35 lbs, carry full trash bags, operate and lift janitorial equipment, lift and stock janitorial supplies.
